This is a happy day. The Ellen is loaded on to her very own trailer and the mast fits into place. She looks great and will be ready to launch as soon as the oars arrive.

Now that we have traveled from Maine to South Carolina with a stop in North Carolina it's back to work on the Ellen. Our visit to Younges Island, SC was interesting and you can see the sites at www.middletonboatworks.net

Mast Partner

This is a time consuming part of the project. Lots of measuring and positioning to be done. Mast partner supports are in place. Once they are secure the mast partner will be removed again for shaping.

The skeg has been on for a while but this is a picture of it......

Winter work continues

Even though it is cold and icy outside the boat building continues inside the big red boatshop. Here are some pictures of the progress on the Ellen.The centerboard and rudder are in progress. All the little fittings are coming together but it is a slow process.
