CAN THIS BOAT BE SAVED?

This is a "Little Bear" sailboat built by Sailstar Boats (USA) circa 196o

It was designed by Robert H. Baker. 11.50' Centerboard Dinghy with Fractional Sloop rigging. This little boat has seen better days when the family was first learning to sail. She has spent the last several years on a trailor in the woods. Lets see how it looks after a power wash.

1958 Lyman "Satisfied" New Transom

The transom was too far gone to save so a new one was in order. Selected woods were chosen for this very visable part of the boat. The wood grain will look even better once it is varnished and polished to high sheen.

Missing/broken pieces are refabricated, steam bent and clamped in place

The skiff is "launched" to mark the water line.

The seats and floor all restored and back in place.

The bow view with windshield glass in place. The paint job is well suited to the boat. Love the pin striped deck.
